This is a site for launching boats from trailers. Boat ramps can normally be used to launch canoes and kayaks but please do your best to keep the boat ramp clear for boat trailers.

Description & Overview:

This RI DEM fishing access site is on the 74 acre Wakefield Pond, which sits in northwestern Rhode Island, right against the border with Connecticut. There is a cement plank boat ramp here and gravel parking lot. The small northern arm of the pond has houses lining the shore but most of the rest of the shoreline is wooded and undeveloped, but privately owned. Outboard motors are not permitted between June 20 and September 20.

Nearest Town Center: Pascoag

Driving Landmarks: From Route 100 west of Pascoag take Buck Hill Road west. Go 1.7 miles and look for Wakefield Road branching off to the left. Follow Wakefield Road for half a mile and then turn left onto Lee Circle. In 1/4 mile turn right on the road going down the hill. At the bottom of the hill turn left and look for the boat ramp on the right.
